About 1st & Laurel

At 1st & Laurel, everything we do is rooted in anthropology. We believe great matches aren’t just about chemistry—they’re about shared language, cultural resonance, and the ability to grow together over time. Our work draws from research in cultural and linguistic anthropology, helping clients make sense of the invisible forces that shape dating today: language habits, media ideologies, communication styles, and even digital fatigue.

We specialize in guiding you through the emotional and technological complexities of modern dating—from writing a profile that actually sounds like you to helping you interpret the subtleties of app-based communication. Our approach is intentional, affirming, and grounded in the belief that love is deeply human—and that your dating strategy should be too. Whether you’re looking for guidance, clarity, or a carefully curated match, we’re here to support your journey with insight, care, and real strategy.
